Exhibition Opening with bar and good music.
This exhibition collates the work of artists from the independent based creative collective ‘best joined up’, that has been gathering together leading lights in illustration, aerosol/street art, design and animation since 2005.
Friday 30th December 5pm – 1am
Exhibition/Bar/Magpie cinema/Inkfriend’s DJ night.
Magpie Cinema is a community cinema group based in Hebden Bridge with no fixed abode. “We beg, borrow and sometimes hire the equipment needed to screen in a variety of venues”. There last screening was in an amazing church with organist showing, The phantom of the opera!
Inkfriend’s with guest DJ Jimmy Welsh (Gezellig).
Gezellig is a series of sporadic gatherings and parties held in different locations throughout Manchester.
Each party took on a different guise and always featured heavily on good times with good music in a Gezellig atmosphere.
We have finally reformed ourselves within our new home of Hebden Bridge where we continue our Gezellig gatherings.
Saturday 1st December 10am – 2am.
Exhibition/Xmas Market/Bar/Halcyon Christmas Special with guest Phil Mison.
Saturday daytime will be a continuation of the gallery exhibition and café/bar. Plus we will be putting on our own Christmas Market where you will be able to find artist’s work, vintage clothing, one-off furniture pieces and lots of special trinkets and treasures for Christmas. Get there early for festive treats and mulled Cider and staff!
In the evening from 7pm, Inkfolk will host our own music night Halcyon with DJ’s CP and Havana Candy with special guest Phil Mison.
Phil is a London-based DJ, composer and producer who makes music under the guises of Cantoma (solo) and Reverso 68 (with Pete Herbert). Phil is a true pioneer of the Balearic sound and cut his teeth in clubs like The Milk Bar in London and held a residency at Café Del Mar in the white Isle. He has played clubs and festivals all over the world including a residency at Café Del Mar, The Milk Bar, Bestival, APT, Nado, Fabric and Harveys 39 hotel. This is Phil’s first gig in Hebden, so I am sure he will enjoy it.
